3.2.36 Keep Intermediate Data
<keep_intermediate_files></keep_intermediate_files>
- on Default Setting
- off
This option is intended to help reduce the disk space taken up by extra data. If set to off, all intermediate files will be deleted. This includes upsampled raw data, and eddy and motion corrected intermediate images. The user will be left with only the final output images (_DMC) and the original raw data. Deletion of extra files occurs at the very end of the algorithm. Therefore, if something happens to interrupt the software before it is complete, these files will not be deleted.
The default setting is on which will keep all files. While this takes up more disk space, it allows for more flexibility in the software. If this tag is set to off, then the user cannot restart the software in the middle with the start_at_step tags, as these tags assume certain files exist that will be deleted by the software.
